Pursuing our objective to offer top-quality products to our customers, in 2006 we started to develop our rice production activity. Our rice fields are located in the region around Pazardzhik, which has centuries-old traditions in this agricultural activity. As a Bulgarian rice producer, we mainly grow medium-grain rice varieties typical of the Balkans region.
Our rice mill in the village of Kovachevo is equipped with modern machines and implements latest technologies in all its operations. Here we produce white rice, brown rice (cargo), polished rice (camolino), as well as our own innovation – Balance semi whole grain rice.

As a rice producer in Bulgaria, after years of dedicated work, we have achieved significant results:
• We own over 900 hectares of paddy fields, which continue expanding.
• We have modern agricultural equipment.
• Around 23 000 tons of rice paddy pass through our rice processing plants on an annual basis.
• We boast of a team of more than 170 highly qualified specialists and partners from over 30 countries in Europe and Asia.

As a rice producer in Bulgaria, SUICO recognizes the importance of environmentally friendly farming and the responsibility it entails.
In our rice fields, we use gravity irrigation, which does not require non-renewable energy sources. The flooded fields areas are natural habitat for a number of fish and waterfowl species.

Responsible Production
In our rice processing facilities, we have installed high-tech filtration systems to effectively reduce fine particulate emissions generated during the polishing of rice grains.
In our new paddy drying facilities, we have introduced a modern energy generation system based on rice husk combustion. Thus, we achieved a waste-free production powered by a renewable energy source.
